At BioLiNE, we are leading the development of a next generation of biostimulants. With a focus on evidence-based science, we strive to produce a superior fulvic acid product for use in agriculture. Enabled by our breakthroughs in processing, we are advancing and accelerating the wide-spread adoption of BioLiNE Gold. It is a highly purified and potent liquid fulvic acid. Fulvic acid is a naturally occurring biostimulant with numerous benefits for crops. It also can play an important role in improving soil health by promoting microbial balance and improving the physical properties of the soil. Our BioLiNE Gold enhances nutrient uptake, and improves crop health and ultimately yield. As a liquid, our BioLiNE Gold can be mixed with all liquid pop-up (starter) fertilizers. It can also be used as an ingredient in seed coat treatments. It is a fantastic ingredient for liquid-starter fertilizer formulations, boosting the response fertilizers can elicit from crops. BioLiNE Gold is recommended for use in all starter and pop-up fertilizers, whether applied in-furrow or banded, irrigated or sprayed. Given its high purity, and potency a small volume of BioLiNE Gold can be mixed with other nutrients, fungicides, pesticides or herbicides and applied used as foliar spray. BioLiNE Gold can also be used in hydroponics growing systems, or drip-irrigation.

The Humic Products Trade Association (HPTA) was founded in 2010 to promote commercial trade of humic products through scientific cooperation while addressing regulatory issues. The HPTA Board works on tackling common commercial and regulatory issues that advance the humic products industry and expand acceptance of quality humic products. Our science committee is actively working on standardizing analytical methods and reference materials in order to advance the technology for producing humic products.

The Biostimulant Council is part of The Fertilizer Institute working on advancing policy and regulatory frameworks that increase biostimulant market access and encourage research and innovation. Biostimulants are biological or naturally-derived additives, including but not limited to bacterial or microbial inoculants, biochemical materials, amino acids, humic acids, fulvic acid, seaweed extract and other similar materials. Our activities focus on the creation of a clear, consistent, predictable and efficient path to market for biostimulants in the U.S. Working on global standardization of definitions, claims, and regulations for biostimulants. Building awareness, understanding, recognition, acceptance and adoption of the use of biostimulants among end-users, regulators and other influential stakeholders. Research, education and outreach activities to further commercial and technical understanding of Biostimulants as a critical requirement for building industry credibility; and Collaborating with trade and professional associations, non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) and other groups, developing mutually beneficial alliances to further these objectives.

The company is a leader in plastic recycling innovation awarded the American Chemistry Council Innovation in plastics recycling and Gold award for excellence from Recycling Council of Ontario for the commercialization of the RigidReclaim™ process.An agent of change for Entropex, initially served as a consultant in 2009, and joined the executive management team on full-time basis in 2010.During my tenure with Entropex the company grew from 80 employees (2010) to over 200 employees (2013), and more than doubled its revenues. Worked directly with company president to formulate strategic plan and raise funds for the implementation of the RigidReclaim process.Responsible for successfully securing $11.3 million in grants for the project including: Sustainable Technology Development Canada (SDTC), Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation (MRI) – Innovation Demonstration Fund (IDF), and Stewardship Ontario.Principal project manager using Project Insight (Online PM software), and MS Project to manage the execution of the 3year, $34 million, multi-disciplinary, multi-stakeholder project involving large number of suppliers, technology providers, and contractors.As a member of the management team made substantial contributions to general management, operations, integration of the new technology into existing management systems including ISO, OHS, QM, and internal management systems.Principal investigator on all IP and patent filings, principal research manager and process engineer for the technology.Contributed to the development and effective communication of the company’s vision, mission, and core values.

The Particle Technology Research Centre at Western (PTRC) was created to enhance research collaboration with other university research groups, research institutions and industry.Built the Centre from an idea in 2005 to a team of six full-time and five part-time researchers by 2008 consisting of PDFs, technicians and interns.Attracted and secured about $200,000 per annum from industry, and leveraged that with $800,000 per annum in research grants for the Centre by 2008.Manage all aspects of operations of the PTRC including: hiring of researchers, management of personnel, management of the progress of multiple R&D projects, managing operational budgets, preparing financial statements for the Directors of the Centre, writing proposals, and developing relationships with industry, other researchers, and collaborators.
