Inês Moreira (1977, Portugal) is an architect, curator and researcher. In 2014, was awarded a PhD degree in Curatorial Knowledge from Goldsmiths College, University of London. She completed a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Culture [Metropolis, UPC Barcelona, 2003] and graduated in Architecture [FAUP, Porto, 2001]. Ines´ research and practice experiment collaborations between architecture, contemporary art and the humanities, with a focus on post-industrial spaces and on exhibition display. Guest Professor at the Fine Art Faculty of Universidade do Porto, lecturing on Contemporary Culture and on Curatorial Studies. At an institutional level was: consultant for the Art and Architecture Cultural Program for the European Capital of Culture, Guimarães 2012 [Guimarães 2010-2012]. Regular collaborator of the Rectorate of Universidade do Porto [Depósito 2006-7; Pack 2007; Mapa 2007, Rescaldo e Ressonância! 2009]. Coordinator of the Laboratory of Experimental Art, Instituto das Artes, Ministério da Cultura [Lisbon 2003-05]. As a free-lance curator: curator of the project "Technical Unconscious" at FBAUP and Cooperativa dos Pedreiros [Porto 2013-14]; curated the exhibition "Há trabalhos na Fábrica" at Complexo Industrial da Levada [Tomar 2014]; co-curated the exhibition Materiality (with Aneta Szylak, Arne Hendricks and Leire Vergara) at Alternativa 2012/Wyspa Institute of Art, Gdansk Shipyard [Poland 2012]. Contributed and co-curated (with Cláudia Martinho and Marcin Sczcelina) the public gatherings of Evento2009, Public Art Biennial, [Bordeaux 2009]. A resident curator at Museo Extremeño Iberoamericano de Arte Contemporâneo [Badajoz, 2007-09]. Was the founder of the experimental space exhibition petit CABANON [Porto 2007-09], a curatorial platform for research on art and architecture, developing spatial concepts and scenographies for exhibitions in France, Poland, Spain, and Portugal. Was part of the curatorial team of Terminal Project [Oeiras 2004-06].
