Wilshire Grand Hotel Redevelopment Project, CompleteI have worked on the Wilshire Grand project since 2012. I began working on design concept with design partner as part of our initial study for the Environmental Impact Report for the city of Los Angeles. As the project progressed, I worked along side the Senior Designer to program 1.2 million square feet of hotel, commercial, and office space. After, schematic design was completed I focused on the design of the Sail (tactical approach, building maintenance units) and spire at the top of the tower. Responsibilities consisted of design, client presentations, consultant coordination and creating the construction documents. We also worked on the design of the curtain wall in a design assist role with Benson Industries, material selection and architectural steel. Once design was completed, I transitioned into the construction documents and worked under the guidance of the project architects. During this phase, I focused on detailing elements on the tower ranging from vestibule glass details to water feature elements. Lastly, I completed the design submittal to LEED for accreditation.San Diego State University EIS Building, Under DesignWorked on the winning entry during the competition phase, I was responsible for programming the interiors with the Lab consultants.
