    deuxdesignco.coI created Deux Design Co. with my partner in 2019 as a remote and independent agile design pair. In addition to my individual portfolio our recent projects feature design and strategy for native app, responsive ecommerce, and enterprise software across a wide range of industries. RECENT PROJECTS:NEC - UNIVERGE BLUE:Led the NEC Univerge Blue sales portal redesign practicing an agile scrum process with no written requirements while collaborating with remote stakeholders to review and define their services and parts catalog's strategic vision. Subsequent feedback and iteration loops led to reimagined user flows and the optimization of common task sequences necessary to build a quote. I also produced the final portal wireframes and UI deliverables, including a component library and digital style guide with annotations, ensuring repeatable and consistent aesthetic implementation.DIGI - REMOTE MANAGER:Led the blue-sky responsive redesign for Digi’s Remote Manager product following the acquisition of a competing product. Analyzed existing research, critical use cases, and backlogs for both products to understand the goals and tasks necessary to manage large networks of IoT devices from which I generated new flows, detailed wireframes, and annotations. My dashboard solution for manipulating thresholds and investigating diagnostics inspired so much enthusiasm from the client that additional sprints were scoped to pursue new use cases.BLACK RIFLE COFFEE COMPANY:Created a design outline and process with the Black Rifle Coffee Company product team which transformed their design backlog into concrete problem statements and user scenarios. With a focus on subscription growth, optimization, and management features for club members, I created responsive designs for their e-commerce site and the complete experience for their mobile app coffee calculator and brew guide.

Performed on-site interviews to inform (and later test) a tasking system modeled after an associate’s job function, which communicates outstanding daily activities and priority.

    Defined and iterated several complex product features in an agile startup environment such as an ontology browser used to explore various relationships between large datasets. I conducted user interviews to identify opportunities for improvement and translate research into problem statements for team alignment before design. I designed several enhancements to the code editor and variable mapping functionality, resulting in a 50% decrease (from 6 to 3) of necessary clicks to map a variable, our user’s most common task.
