I am a Ph.D. student and researcher at Boğaziçi University, specializing in water resource management, hydrological modeling, and environmental sustainability. My academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Water Science and Engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, where I developed a deep interest in addressing global environmental challenges, particularly water and soil pollution. My undergraduate thesis on water resource analysis using WEAP software solidified my passion for modeling and sustainable water management.In 2021, I joined Boğaziçi University’s MSc program in Environmental Technology. My master’s thesis, “Effect of Surfactants on Heterotrophic Activity in a Petroleum-Contaminated Soil Under Aerobic Conditions,” explored innovative solutions for bioremediation. This research enhanced my expertise in microbial community analysis, petroleum hydrocarbon degradation, and the use of surfactants to improve bioremediation processes.As a researcher, I have contributed to two PRIMA-funded projects. In “InTheMED,” I assessed drought frequencies across Turkey’s main agricultural basins using climate change projections and developed drought maps based on SPI and SPEI indices. Currently, I am working on “Our Med,” where I focus on modeling surface water distribution in Turkey’s Konya basin using WEAP21 software, aiming to optimize water allocation under future climate scenarios.These diverse research experiences have honed my skills in Python, R programming, groundwater and surface water modeling, and sustainable water management. My work underscores my commitment to leveraging advanced tools and interdisciplinary approaches to tackle pressing environmental issues, particularly in semi-arid regions like the Mediterranean.I am eager to connect and collaborate with professionals and organizations passionate about environmental sustainability and resource management.
