I had the opportunity to study at the Computer Science Department, University of Crete and I have learned, from the key issues of the major areas of Computer Science to more specialized fields of this ever-evolving science. Among the courses that inspired me the most was "Computer Networks","Languages and Compilers","Operating Systems","Introduction to Secure Systems". This was the reason I applied and granted with an undergraduate scholarship at the Distributed Computing Systems Laboratory at FORTH, Institute of Computer Science. That period I worked my bachelor thesis “Packing packets to disk to tolerate algorithmic complexity and overload attacks”.Then I decided to change "layer", so I attended some courses that presented the world of computer science to me from a different perspective. Some of these courses are "Information Retrieval Systems","Human-Computer Interaction","Software Engineering" but I became totally passionate about "Web Programming". I enjoyed working the projects of these courses using JAVA Servlets-JSP-Expression Language-MVC model 2-HTML-JavaScript-CSS-AJAX-MYSQL.At the moment I work at the IT Department of Minoan Lines S.A where for the first couple of years I worked with tools and technologies, which are commonly used in large enterprises, such as IBM iSeries/AS400, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server, Crystal Reports and Satellite Communication Systems as well.
