The initial 3 month contract was extended, during my time there I successfully developed, launched and handed-over, Macrium’s money-site comprised of a React & Next.js frontend with a Strapi backendI worked closely with the CTO, heads of marketing and product to ensure what I delivered would enable their day-to-day productivityI reworked the entire frontend, created a “source of truth” for design and dev, ensuring design consistency across the platformI collaborated with designers and product owners to deliver new features once the new website was liveI also provided a comprehensive handover

I was the front-end lead on a scrum team that successfully delivered a multi-tenant client portal M.V.P. within a stringent 3-month timeline.

Successfully delivered an integrated Next.js frontend for a gaming/nft related dashboard/management system within a 3 month deadline.

I was hired to help accelerate UKFD's re-platforming phase, they were transitioning from a legacy platform to a headless-commerce solution built with Next.js.Whilst there I:- Established a set of working principles & patterns- Integrated RESTful endpoints and then eventually migrated to GraphQL / Apollo- Established a UI library built with Tailwind & CSS Modules- Integrated Cypress test suites with CI/CD pipelines- Integrated with 3rd party APIs- Developed a shopping basket with delivery options for a brand new checkout- Presented / shared our progress at bi-weekly meetings

I was responsible for developing components which formed a part of a completely bespoke Design system called Cardano.Cardano's sole purpose was to service the vast number of distributed developers working on products for Lloyd's internal marketplace, and also for 3rd parties.It was a complex monorepo project, with components forming part of the overall system of private npm packages.Each component adhered to a strict set of rules for testing, as the library had multiple purposes and could also be consumed as a CSS library that would interface with Lloyd's legacy (non-React) products, and had to meet accessibility criteria.

Delivering a green-field, headless front end, integrated with restful micro services. We employ continuous delivery, releasing code incrementally, as and when needed, over the course of bi-weekly sprints, fixing forward. I'm working with passionate, committed, individuals to shape the future of N Brown.

I initiated N Brown's very own Sketch design system & React pattern library. It enables coherent, consistent, and creative designs, that communicate each brand's own unique values.I produced a scalable, responsive, theme architecture to create brand differentiation for multiple fashion brands including: Simply Be, Jacamo, JD Williams. The designs were and are still abstracted into a pattern library. I am an active contributor and maintainer of the codebase.

Currently:Contracting with the JD Williams UI Team working as part of a Global Multichannel Transformation programme (GMT).Work so far has included (but is not limited to):- Creating a master theme to re-use as a general resource, and the creation of subsequent brand focused child-themes for the Hybris Java application.- Using OOTB resources such as Bootstrap, tools such as NPM and Grunt, and coding languages such as LESS, CSS, HTML, PHP, Java (JSTL). Whilst following best-practice methods recommended by Hybris.- Creating a range of front-end development tools, which have enabled our team to craft wireframes and prototypes which can be viewed on a multitude of devices (rather than static jPegs), and then signed off by stakeholders.- Promoting a D.R.Y. (don't repeat yourself) methodology which is based upon using components, and fragments of code rather than focusing on pages.- Creating a working style guide / component library which also allows the testing & switching of themes.Previously:contracted as part of an agile workflow with the web tactical team; on Brands such as Simply Be, Jacamo and Marisota. My typical remit included designing concepts using Adobe Illustrator, meeting with relevant stakeholders to get feedback, then coding my designs into working web things.It was my responsibility to ensure that anything I created got past a bug-hungry group of testers. Therefore I rigorously tested as I progressed though my work, I also broke things on purpose where possible in order to fix them; well in advance of the production stage.Working for a multi-channel e-tailer requires lots of front-end development for mobile and tablet devices, my experience with responsive eCommerce websites was put to the test.It was a huge team effort, we collaborated, contributed, iterated and produced work that ultimately generated MONEY for the business. The role was varied often with patches of design or development or a mix of the 2.

The majority of work commissioned is Hybris, & Magento (community edition) store production.
