Being an Educator has always been a dream of mine, but Psychology has always had my interest as well. After receiving my Bachelor's in Psychology, I started working as Special Education Paraprofessional at Lake Elementary School. Lake Elementary is the school I attended as a child, so when I saw the opportunity I had to take it. Taking that opportunity was the best thing I could've done, because it showed me that working with students with special needs is my true passion. While working as a paraprofessional, not only have my communication skills with adults improved greatly, but my communication skills with children has developed to a new level I never knew it could reach, and it continues to develop each day. I have also noticed myself reaching a level of patience that I never knew was possible. Now, as I begin my path at National University, I couldn't be more certain that this is the right path for me.
