I am a values-driven leader with over 20 years of experience in community-minded environments, focused on sustainable ventures, social justice, and financial inclusion. As Executive Director of Community Futures of the Sunshine Coast for the past few years, I have honed my leadership and people management skills in a values-based financial services organization. I am committed to promoting diversity, inclusion, and equity, particularly for underrepresented groups such as youth, women, and Indigenous communities. My work is informed by the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, and I strive to ensure that every decision I make aligns with our values-based approach.In addition to my work, I am also a Coach/Mentor/Teacher at heart and drive for the success of any team I have the pleasure to be a part of. I am passionate about building capacity in organizations, creating access by lowering barriers, and advocating for social justice and financial inclusion. My favourite role was in Community Investment, which allowed me the flexibility to learn many different skills and opened me up to different sectors and communities, I otherwise would never have had the opportunity to discover. I enjoyed flexing across different departments and being a conduit between them. In this role, I oversaw multi-million dollar budgets, managed large effective teams, and had the honor to make a huge impact reinvesting in our community.Outside of work, I love being outside and am an avid boater, hiker, camper, snowshoer, and biker. I am also a volunteer Coxswain and Station Leader with Marine Search and Rescue.
