Quality Of Life Director
Current• Quality of life director for a skilled nursing population• Develop, organize, and implement a program of activities to meet the social, emotional, physical, and other therapeutic needs of residents as identified on the residents’ plan of care within the specified budget. • Consistently maintains standards for activity scheduling and documentation established by policies and regulatory requirements • Initiate and promote activities both within and outside the facility• Communicates and works well within a team environment• Maintains all activity related records required by regulation and medical records• Creates an ongoing calendar of activities, which creatively meets multiple needs and is accessible and appealing to both men and women of all ages and abilities• Management duties including but not limited to supervising assistants, along with training, and developing new programs while incorporating other disciplines • Solicit the involvement of community while planning the monthly calendar • Knowledgeable of artifacts of culture change documentation and implementation• Participate in resident care planning by identifying the needs of residents in accordance with the medical assessment• Assist the residents with organizing and maintaining an active residents council• Presents during in-service education programs to better able staff to understand activities that are most appropriate for the resident based on needs and abilities
