I graduated from Ripon College with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. Received my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Gonzaga UniversityI interned at Frontier Behavioral Health’s Intensive Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Program and have been hired as a full time clinician. I choose this profession because I know how important it is for people to find their own unique ways of leading productive and fulfilling lives, and if I get to be a part of that journey, that’s amazing. My goal is to work towards promoting my clients' mental health, wellness, education, and life goals through our work together. I hope to work with individuals to realize their goals. I want to be able to build the client’s self-awareness of their lives, with emphasis on their resilience and strengths, to allow them to regain control of their life.I have completed research on servant leadership, anchoring, social conforming, body esteem, and stigma perception on social media. I have had the opportunity to work with Dr. Joe Hatcher, Dr. Julia Manor, and the Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) throughout these research projects.My goal is to be able to able to help people who have not had stable households or academic lifestyles, those who struggle to get by day-to-day struggles. It seems to be prominent that people in these lifestyles believe that therapy is not for them, either because they can solve their problems or simply because they know that they would not be able to afford it. Mental health is slowly becoming less stigmatized as time goes on; however, I would love to be able to help others understand that their mental health matters, even if they believe it does not.
