Oversaw budget of $42,000,000 and capital budget of $4,000,000. Supported Mobile Site Leadership Team in setting goals and policies for main site (850 employees).• Managed cost reduction program of $1,000,000 to $2,000,000 per year.• Transferred standalone site from Air Products site in Los Angeles to Evonik.

Transitioned the newly built Cross-linkers plant from start-up to stable operation. Oversaw all aspects of oil additives site operation, including EHSQ, shipping, maintenance, production, and controlling. Managed $16,000,000 plant budget, as well as contract and relationship with utility provider Dow Chemical (formerly Rohm & Haas). Directed contract drum filling operation and supported drum warehousing. Oversaw labor relations and union contract negotiations. Represented company to community through Community Advisory Council (treasurer) and EHCMA.• Restructured Houston Plant Operations and coordinated global RohMax manufacturing cost reduction efforts. o Saved $3,200,0000 annually in ongoing operating cost by upgrading operation, optimizing process, and reducing site by 22 employees (71 to 49). o Deployed $8,000,000 of capital, all projects were completed in budget. o Completed 74,000 man-hours of construction without first aid in operating plant. o Achieved 3.5 year payback period and 52% ROI.• Negotiated four contracts with United Steel Workers (Formerly PACE), allowing company to align wage structure to chemical industry, align union benefits with Evonik plan, simplify wage rules, and gain flexibility to allow plant to remain competitive. . o Improved production capability and increased output by 40% while increasing first pass quality yield from 94% to 99% during 40% reduction in staff.• Separated plant from Rohm and Haas Texas.o Established separate purchasing and service contracts, implemented SAP systems, o Negotiated with R&H and PACE Union to achieve separation of R&H Quality Assurance Lab to become wholly-owned and operated by RohMax. o Developed plant into independent operation separate from main plant except utilities and emergency response.• Implemented behavior-based safety program; Du Pont STOP. o Implemented initiative with salaried and union personnel from 2006 to 2010.• Kick-off completed for Total Productive Management implementation.
