● Work closely with other Stony Brook students one-on-one to help them improve their resumes, write cover letters, search for and discover jobs using platforms such as Handshake, LinkedIn, and Buzzfile, and relate their major to different careers using platforms like Occupational Outlook Handbook, O*Net Online, and What Can I Do With This Major● Refer students to other helpful resources and campus organizations related to their career interests like our professional career coaches, Career Center organized networking events such as job fairs and mock interview days, volunteer organizations, undergraduate student government, etc. ● Guide employers via phone and email through our job posting platform Handshake and instruct them on how to post job and internship opportunities for students or connect them with our Employer Relations Specialists● Inform others on campus about the Career Center's services through both in-person and Zoom presentations upon request regarding topics such as resume tips, using Handshake, Interview strategies, and networking
