I am currently a senior staff scientist at the Institute for Quantiative Health Science & Engineering where my research focuses on type 1 diabetes, multiple sclerosis, and blood banking. I also conduct contract work to analyze samples on a Simoa HD-X for clinical trials with Memorial Healthcare. I have a PhD in analytical chemistry from Michigan State University studying radiolabeled albumin binding to red blood cells for the end-goal of revised therapeutics for people with type 1 diabetes. I have a B.S. in Biochemistry from Saginaw Valley State University with an honors thesis focusing on organic versus conventional produce pesticide residues and DNA. I have presented my research at several scientific conferences and have 9 publications.
