I am the student representative on the School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences Teaching and Learning Committee. I offer a student perspective on issues relating to the use of artificial intelligence, academic integrity, and assessment.

I am the editor of the Faculty of Science's 'Science Student Opportunities' newsletter. This involves liasing with staff and students to discover new opportunities for science students, writing engaging content, sourcing images, and using Vision6 to put the newsletter together.

I spent 13 weeks as a communications intern with the Australian E-Health Research centre. My responsibilities included:- Writing blog posts and other web content- Developing media releases, pitching stories to journalists, and assisting with media training for spokespeople- Coordinating video and photo shoots- Proofreading and polishing presentations, journal articles and web contentI am most proud of:- Writing 9 blog posts (7 explainers & 2 researcher profiles), 2 of which have been published on CSIROScope, the CSIRO blog- Receiving excellent feedback from researchers, such as 'You have articulated what I have been trying to say and done it better.'- Editing and uploading 28 one-pagers and writing and uploading 4 blog posts to the AEHRC website- Coordinating an all-day, office-wide video shoot that ran on schedule and produced high-quality footage- Pitching a story on the CSIRO-developed Smarter Safer Homes platform that was picked up by multiple journalists and media outlets, and co-writing a media release on CSIRO's innovative neuroimaging research

I was involved in a research project as part of an undergraduate research course. Through the 13 weeks I spent in the lab researching the human breastmilk microbiome, I used various techniques including DNA extraction, bacterial culturing, and qPCR. I produced a report on my research, presented my results as a poster to academics and peers, and contributed to a paper published in Nutrients.

I was employed by the Faculty of Science to offer assistance to science students. My specialties are genetics, biochemistry, and writing and communication skills.

As part of UQ's Winter Research Program, I completed a short internship in Professor Bostjan Kobe's structural biology lab. I conducted experiments involving recombinant protein expression and purification.

Tutor students in grades 10-12 in subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Maths, English, History and Economics.
