I was born and raised on a family farm in southern Idaho. I was taught to work hard, and to work smart. I know how to work in a time-sensitive/high-stress environment, and feel that I can be a valued commodity to whatever company/organization I am with. I am an Eagle Scout, and served a two-year proselytizing mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in New Jersey.I graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training in December 2015. Through the Athletic Training program, I learned how to work in a clinical setting. I learned medical terminology, how to take SOAP notes, and how to coordinate with health care providers to provide care for the athletes/patients we treated. I became proficient in taking vital signs, and have learned to perform basic evaluations of the skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems.After opportunities in many vocational fields, and through different opportunities for service with multiple organizations, I developed a passion for teaching young people. I was lucky enough to have my first full-time opportunity with the school district that I attended from K-12, to take over for a mentor, and have the opportunity to work with multiple teachers that I learned from while I was in school. My hope, as a teacher, is to inspire my students to discover the belief in themselves that others have in them.
