With over a decade of experience in education, I have had the privilege of working in diverse educational settings and roles. Most recently, as an MTSS Education Consultant at Branching Minds, I developed and delivered professional learning opportunities to partner districts, focusing on MTSS implementation and fidelity. I have demonstrated a high-level understanding of implementation science and systems collaboration to improve systemic structures and instructional practices. My experience includes collaborating to develop MTSS guidelines, contributing to various publications, and continuously seeking knowledge and best practices.As the Assistant Director of Student Support Services at Hennepin Schools, I led and supervised a District MTSS team, ensuring systematic implementation of research-based best practices and interventions. My responsibilities included coaching and evaluating team members, conducting school-wide walkthroughs to provide feedback, and serving as a QComp evaluator. I established a PBIS Data Tracking and System Management, leading a team and training all school staff. Additionally, I have provided district-wide professional development on behavior interventions, restorative practices, and teacher clarity. My academic journey has been dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and expertise. I hold a Doctor of Education in Teaching and Learning, where my dissertation explored the collaborative process between elementary and secondary education. I have a K-12 Principal Licensure from the University of Minnesota, Moorhead, and a Master of Arts in Instruction & Curriculum, where I focused on integrating technology into lesson planning. My strong educational background aligns well with the expectations of the department.Furthermore, my extensive training and certifications, including restorative practices, PBIS, unconscious and implicit bias training, and trauma-informed care, reflect my commitment to promoting positive educational environments. I have also leveraged technology to enhance educational experiences, earning the title of Microsoft Innovative Educator and significantly contributing to building district-wide technological capacity within restorative and PBIS systems.
