Coverstar East Coast is the designated distributor of Coverstar brand motorized swimming pool covers in the mid-atlantic region. I am the area manager of our Pittsburgh office which encompasses Western PA, West Virginia, and a small part of New York. I manage a single crew and work personally with pool builders and retail customers in the sales, installation, and service of Coverstar brand covers as well as service of all other brands. I additionally manage the operation of the Pittsburgh warehouse.

Mahan Rykiel is a landscape architecture firm in Baltimore, a wonderful place to work, great people! As a landscape designer I worked on teams doing all aspects of site design for projects of various scales. My team did a large number of retail projects and I was involved in site design, planting design, materials selection, detail and construction document modification and creations, specs, graphic design, 3D graphics, site visits, green roofs, seed mixtures, etc. However, my favorite part of working at Mahan Rykiel was a discussion group that a few of my coworkers and I put together with the intent of keeping up with new trends and developments within the industry. There was tremendous support and involvement from the upper management, and the whole experience enabled me to discover and develop a strong interest in the science and art of business practices and innovation.

River Hill is a small landscape design/build firm. As a landscape architect I worked under the supervision of the lead landscape architect to design residential landscape plans and work with the installation crew to ensure proper execution of the plans. This involved creating CAD base plans from field measurements, and CAD Landscape designs for the construction crews.

As an intern at the Landscape Architecture Foundation I assisted the office staff in the organization, promotion, and execution of their annual benefit program as well as their booth at the trade show for the ASLA annual conference. This comprised of graphic design for benefit invitations and displays for the trade show booth as well as the various responsibilities and tasks of organizing and coordinating the benefit programs.
