- Work under state of Georgia and the North East Health Districts expanded roll nurse protocols for family planning, STD, tuberculosis, immunization, Stroke & Heart Attack Prevention Program, child health, and the WIC program.- Perform comprehensive history taking and physical exam related to family planning/women’s health including vaginal exams & the California model breast exam, cervical cancer screening (conventional pap smears), cardiovascular physical exam, assessment, & treatment of primary hypertension, STD examination, assessment of gram stains and wet mounts , testing, & treatment, administer various birth controls (depo, oral contractive pills, nuvaring, diaphrams, condoms), educate and assist in nexplanon& IUD’s, immunization education & administration, administering and monitoring primary hypertension medication, patient referrals for outside resources, CPA in the Women’s, Infant, & Children’s program, clinic tuberculosis nurse coordinator, treatment for latent tuberculosis treatment and management of active tuberculosis cases, hearing, vision, & dental screenings, clinic manager of lab supplies, abnormal cervical cytology follow up/case management, abnormal breast exam & mammogram follow up/case management.
