I currently support 67 teachers, 24 administrators, and ~3,000 students at 13 schools in New York City. I provide customized professional learning and coaching to address post-COVID academic challenges and develop strategies for improved K-12 teacher and student performance. • Collaborate with staff at 9 NYC Public Schools (3 high, 5 middle, 1 K-6 elementary) with multiple ELA students, and 4 Catholic K-6 elementary Schools.• Serve as a special education coach at the Catholic schools, providing targeted education and coaching around special needs students with IEPs.• Received feedback from a Fall 2023 survey of the Catholic Schools found that teachers and administrators felt supported, not criticized, and were encouraged to improve through modeling and shared resources.

I created EdAblearn (Educating Able Learners) to support schools through group and 1:1 virtual coaching and professional development during COVID. I worked with ~200 teachers across 8 schools in NYC, Queens, and the Bronx. • Performed site visits and consulted with teachers and administrators to develop school improvement plans. • Observed teachers and students to establish baselines and set goals based on analyses of the ways students learned and demonstrated their knowledge, allowing individual learners to build from their knowledge base.• Developed strategies to combat learning deficits that resulted when students had limited or no access to online classrooms during early COVID shutdowns.

I was recruited into this role to collaborate with instructional leaders and teachers in challenged NYC and Boston public schools. I utilized learning programs developed by Multiple Pathways Institute (formerly NYC Transfer School Institute) to improve student achievement and postsecondary outcomes. I also led professional development for ReDesign coaches, co-developed coach assessments, and served on the coach hiring committee. • Oversaw instructional coaching for 24 of the 54 NYC Transfer Schools and 3 Boston Public Schools, working with 1,000+ teachers and 8,000+ students across all schools. • Coordinated design and delivery of a 3-year professional learning program focused on building teachers' instructional expertise, expanding principals' leadership capacity, and improving student performance.• Co-created a scalable tool teachers could use to assess student skills with data that could be tracked and compared, which was replicated at 30+ schools. • Overcame resistance to measuring performance and set whole school, principal, teacher, and student goals. • Improved relationships between administrators and teachers by serving as a resource and sounding board for both groups and modeling ways to improve teamwork. • Created virtual group training for multiple districts and developed/delivered introductory remote learning training in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. • Co-wrote ReDesign’s equity statement to emphasize equal education regardless of social, racial, and personal identity and ensured classroom practices and teaching methods were culturally sensitive. • Delivered results in NYC and Boston that led to the company’s expansion into Connecticut, Rhode Island, and South Carolina (213 schools).

I was recruited by the lead researcher of The Choice and Innovation Project, which aimed to assess the effectiveness of single-gender teaching practices. I collaborated with Wellesley and Converse College research teams to gather data.• Liaised between the research team and participants at 3 schools (600 Teachers & 26 administrators). • Implemented a series of classroom-based studies analyzing the impact of single-gender practices on student academic performance and school adjustment. • Evaluated teacher effectiveness and satisfaction, communication building, classroom management, and academic achievement, and facilitated focus groups with teachers to assess student performance.

I joined the college staff as an instructor and was recruited to assess student skills and teach basic writing at the MassBay Academic Achievement Center. I coordinated assessments and teaching practices across 2 campuses.• Created a Writing Prompts Placement Assessment taken by ~2,400 incoming students a year (including ESL/ELL students) prior to enrolling in English class.• Designed, revised, and taught an Introductory Writing Course and Language Lab for students with a low level of mastery in academic writing. • Analyzed the broad range of student needs each year and standardized the application of writing assessments by English department professors to align instructional practices with those needs.

I was recruited by the head of BPE (an Annenberg Foundation project) to work in 3 of the lowest-performing high schools in Boston, all facing closure. I collaborated extensively with principals and designed/delivered a professional development strategy for 135 teachers across all schools, overcoming their initial resistance to gain their buy-in and respect. • Analyzed school data and created Whole School Improvement Plans (WSIP) geared to meeting annual progress measures identified by principals and leadership teams. • Co-designed Collaborative Coaching and Learning (CCL) clinics with school instructional leadership teams, resulting in enhanced academic rigor, improved teacher performance, and achievement of WSIP. • Created an 8-Week Coaching Cycle focused on analyzing and leveraging MCAS performance data for the 1,800 enrolled students, helping teachers understand and address the most critical and specific needs of students. • Achieved a 23% improvement in MCAS state test scores, moving the schools up from 16th, 17th and 18th place to 6th, 7th and 8th place in 2 years.
