Growing up my household had two rules: 1) If you were going to start something you had to finish it- don't quit, and 2) When you do decide to start something, put forth 110% of your efforts. Whether this had been in sports or academics, it held true and I was expected to follow through with these two rules in whatever I decided to pursue. This has helped shape my work ethic and commitment as a student, athlete, and employee. I currently work as a ranch hand, lesson instructor, and Junior Rodeo Club Manager at Lost Miner Ranch, where I also assist in event coordination, I manage the social media, and I am the author of our monthly newsletter. I hold many responsibilities at the ranch which has allowed me to learn vital skills such as time management, leadership, initiative, perseverance, among many others.I plan on graduating from Western Colorado University in the fall of 2022 with a degree in Communication Arts with an emphasis in Strategic Communication and a minor in Business Administration. My passion lies in the ranching/rodeo industry and I would like to pursue a career in this field in some facet some day. I have the skills, background, and dedication for the ranching lifestyle to allow me to succeed in the path I decide to follow.
