So I took the plunge! I've decided that what I'm truly passionate about is all forms of visual and written creative content within the digital sphere, and I want to be able to dedicate myself to providing this to small businesses and Not-For-Profits. With particular focus on social media, starting my own business gives me the chance to work with clients I'm truly passionate about, in an ethical, energetic manner. This also allows me to include photography in my services - a form of content inseparable from social media, and something I've been working with for many years. So far I have worked with an exciting variety of clients and I look forward to engaging with even more as my business grows.

This role allowed me to truly take charge in my active social media learning and up-skilling. I met many awesome clients who are doing great things in the local and international markets, and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to immerse myself in all of the other areas of digital marketing on offer.

In this role I learned a lot about PR & content marketing, in a welcoming place where I was given tasks that challenged and excited me, such as writing pieces for magazines, pitching to the media, and even using my film degree a few times when researching for clients, and the one time I made a stop-motion video. This role also included various admin tasks.

This role gave me the opportunity to tutor and mentor international students, whilst teaching the subject of "cultural fit" a social topic about what it means to be a Kiwi, and how to enjoy the best of our country, and fit in in the professional sphere.

My responsibilities as English Tutor for eCipher Korea were to set up online classes with students in Korea that focused on their specific abilities and interests and incorporating those into a fun and interactive English lesson for them. I was also in charge of researching new content, and writing daily reports for each student that gave a thorough and useful guide to improving their learning experience at school, during tutoring lessons, and at home. My students ranged from 3 years old to 19.

My responsibilities at MSD were to meet with beneficiaries and others experiencing hardship and discuss ways to improve their situation, such as budgeting advice or receiving hardship grants from WINZ, which I would then supply. I also was required to phone debt collectors, landlords, power companies and more in order to find a reasonable way to settle financial issues, and if that failed to work then I would act as the beneficiary's advocate on the issue.

This role gave me exciting opportunities to engage with photography, ranging from the production and postage of hard copies of the photos all the way to helping set up the photography equipment and arranging the photo subjects.
