Recently became a member of Mosser Resource Consulting LLC. Formerly from 2000 to 2015, Mosser had been the Project and Portfolio Manager for the Mining Industries of the Future Program at the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) and was the project manager/FPM for the National Carbon Capture Center, a $187 million DOE research effort with Southern Company Services at the Department of Energy complex in Morgantown, WV. He began his career working in the Southwestern Pennsylvania coal fields for US Steel Corporation and advanced his career through various management positions before becoming VP of Operations at Philippi Development. He holds Mine Foreman Certificates in three states, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Maryland. During his 28 years of experience in the coal industry, he developed, operated and managed 12 surface/underground coal mines in three states. He completed a BS in Mining Engineering from West Virginia University and a MBA from Waynesburg University and became a Certified Project Manager Professional (PMP). Six of the projects under his management were selected for the prestigious R&D 100 Awards. He also is a Board Member for the North American Coal Bed Methane Forum.
