Leadership South Dakota is a non-profit organization that focuses on growing South Dakota leaders. We connect classes of leaders from varying backgrounds, locations, and industries to locations around the state, helping them grow by learning about themselves and diving into leadership principles, giving them time to talk with other leaders in our state, and encouraging them to go and do something with what they’ve learned and the connections they’ve made while in the program. I ensure our program via monthly statewide on-site visits run smoothly from a logistical aspect, partner with programming ideas and execution, and create a top-notch program experience for each class member from onboarding to on-site to graduation. I also help with the overall promotion of the program on social media and to our alumni network via email and events. It's an absolute privilege to help lead the leaders and show off my home state to others that feel the same way about it.

In this role, I helped ensure the logistical aspects of each monthly session around the state went smoothly, from transportation and lodging to food and site management. I worked with the team to ensure the agenda flowed and our class participants had a top-notch experience each time we visited a new location.

We help brands with video editing and condensing content specifically for social media platforms. Currently, we are developing processes, people, and our brand. I serve as the point of contact for our clients and help with everything except editing.

The mission of SDMTS is to help South Dakota's manufacturers prosper and grow. As a business advisor, I consulted with small- to medium-sized manufacturers in the state of South Dakota, specifically with marketing and workforce needs. I also assisted with employee recruitment and retention strategies, partnered with area technical colleges and high schools to showcase new manufacturing career paths to students, strategized yearly marketing goals for internal organization, executed weekly and monthly content plans digitally, assisted with lean manufacturing training, and planned and promoted the annual 300-person manufacturing conference and other events as needed.

In this role, I worked with our clients on their strategies that brought clarity to their audiences (both externally and internally) with infographic-inspired content. I was the initial point of contact after businesses inquired about working with us and I handled all things sales until handing off to a project manager to kick off the project. From Fortune 100 brands to start-ups and everyone in between, the team helped make messages heard quickly and clearly.

I lead our content efforts both externally and internally and make sure everything Lemonly-related on social media, our blog, sales materials, etc. aligns with our vision, voice, and core values. I was also proud to lead our content team within the company and collaborate with our clients on their content marketing strategy. 🍋

Duties included acting as the voice of Lemonly on all social channels, promoting new infographics and press on the Lemonly website and social, producing daily website and social content, monitoring and maintaining regular brand conversation on social channels, creating and editing monthly schedules for blog content and promotions, monitoring Google Analytics for Lemonly website trends, establishing and maintaining relationships with bloggers and media contacts, managing Lemonly's online classes and webinars, managing monthly online ad spend budgets, producing and sending monthly email campaigns, strategizing content promotion with clients, producing weekly and monthly reports on website and social data, internal and external event planning, internship program coordination and hiring, monitoring all external content and conversation pertaining to Lemonly, writing guest blog posts promoting the company, and representing Lemonly at trade show booths around the country as needed.

In this role I organized, monitored, and oversaw projects from start to finish, developed proposals and project plans with team, set timelines and time budgets to fit client needs, managed designer/developer/animator performance of project tasks, proofed each step of project deliverables, strategized future content needs with clients, researched and edited content topics, and wrote copy as needed.

While in college, I assisted Senior Account Managers and collaborated with professional, college, and high school sports teams in addition to advertisers and ad agencies to create animations and other digital content on LED video and ribbon displays. I oversaw projects from start to finish, from producing quotes to working between animators and clients and transferring created content to facilities across the country.Key accounts were with the Houston Astros and Texas Rangers.

I assisted the head photographer at weddings with taking pictures as the second photographer. In addition to shooting, I set up lights, transferred pictures, and assisted the bridal party for the entirety of the event as well. With over 50 weddings under my belt, I've learned how to assist with every aspect of a wedding imaginable.In my spare time in the role, I also designed a few sales brochures, helped with photo editing, and uploaded proofs for online viewing.
