Some of the duties include but are not limited to chart preparation, answering phones, schedulingappointments and procedures, checking in patients, processing payment transactions, maintaining and updating records, preparing medication, assisting with animal restraint, and keeping the hospital running effectively while providing a high level of customer service.

Shadow and assist veterinarian and other staff. Take weights and temperatures, administer medicines, and provide care to dogs and cats.

Restrain patients, collect and run laboratory samples, assist in aspects of anesthesia and surgery, perform vaccinations, and assist with patient exams. In addition, clean cages, wash and fold surgical laundry, clean surgical instruments, and make surgical packs.
