Hi my name is Morgan Sampson. I am currently a 3rd year interior design student at Morgan State University, School of Architecture and Planning. Interior Design is the career path I chose to pursue because of my instilled passion for creating and designing. As a child I believed I wanted to be a Fashion Designer because of my love for fashion design. A couple years later, my junior year of high school I had an interest in the Psychology field because of my interest in human behavior but, I couldn’t get rid of that urge to be creative. In my mind interior design is the best of both worlds and combines design and also human behavior and psychology. My vision for the ideal sector of design I want to go into is hospitality or multi-family commercial but I also have an interest in residential design. I have a inclination for making spaces more functional and aesthetically pleasing.Moreover, while attending Morgan State University I participate in many organizations and leadership positions like Honors College Deans List Recipient, Student Government Association Senator, Club Volleyball President, C.I.A (construction management, interior design, and architecture) Community Service Chair, Public Relations chair for Females United to Uplift Reshape and Educate (F.U.T.U.R.E), and President for INTDxMorgan. I’m a former Community Assistant at Morgan View Apartments in American Campus Communities where I displayed a high level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills. I am currently a design consultant at Floor&Decor design services assisting home owners and contractors with their remodels. In addition, I am currently seeking an internship that can develop my professional experiences and my knowledge of Interior Design.
