I have extensive knowledge in many areas of Art History – as it was my major study. I strove to take a wide range of classes to best prepare me for the different exhibitions, restorations, and research opportunities that working in a museum would present me. While I have a home in my studies of American art, I am well versed in topics ranging from Modern and Contemporary to Photography to the Renaissance. I believe that working in a museum or gallery requires the ability to not only multitask physically, but to be able to grapple with various themes across art historical periods, and therefore I planned my studies accordingly. In addition to this knowledge, I have many years of experience in customer service. In prior jobs I have been put in charge of training others, facilitating the shift, and troubleshooting equipment. Throughout high school and into my first year of college, I took part in Stage Management for the school plays which taught me many skills that are applicable to a job in the museum world. Creating and taking down sets, painting, and facilitating the various other technical aspects that go along with creating a staging area. I believe that these skills will help me immensely upon combining them with my knowledge of art history.
