-acquired by Schneider Electric-senior manager of the ux design and visual design team (called the design team)-manages 5 individual contributors and 1 manager, who has 1 direct report-Grew team from 2 to 8 in a period of 7 months-created and deployed cross functional collaboration processes for the design team-oversee all design projects across company, and contribute guidance and coaching to designers on the end to end design thinking life cycle, from discovery, to prototyping, and from usability testing to high fidelity designs, including the design of a brand new marketplace.-initiated the creation, design, and build of EnergySage’s first design system, ESDS 1.0, and worked to get buy in from cross functional partners and leadership across the organization. ESDS 1.0 is now considered a key company initiative for 2022. Collaborated with engineering and product on the build and deployment strategy, and functioned as the ux project lead on all components and interactions, from desktop to mobile.-set up design best practices for the team-acquired new and improved technology and tools for the team, including MacBook Pros with M1 Pro Chips, Figma, Miro, and Asana-leads monthly ux and design team workshops where the team meets to discuss all things design and ux, encourage innovative, out of the box thinking, practice presentation skills and learn from teammates by participating in presentations of ux design subjects that were determined by the team via affinity mapping and dot voting. We always conclude with a team retro. The team really enjoys this time to hang out and nerd out about design each month. Every 6 months, we present innovative ideas that come from these sessions to the company.-encourage and facilitate learning and conference opportunities for the team-mentor and coach the team on ux and design best practices and their professional skills. The goal is always to help elevate each member of the team and to help them achieve their personal goals.
