I lead an engineering team that develops industrial automation equipment for food packaging applications. Our efforts span from R&D to commercial stage work. I develop and lead the technical roadmap, building great engineers and innovative products.

Led a large, cross functional engineering team focused on industrial equipment for food packaging customers. Created a new product space and brought a new automation solution from concept to commercial in under 2 years.

• Managed a cross-functional team of five mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop strategic automation equipment to improve worker safety, reduce touchpoints, and increasepackaging throughput in meat packaging plants• Led automation strategy conversations and identify customer opportunities through Voice ofCustomer conversations and site visits to determine optimal layout and integration plans• Developed and drove project schedules, specifications, and creation of documentation packages• Programmed industrial robots (Staubli) and design safe and efficient work cells• Utilized CAD (SolidWorks), Finite Element Analysis, and quantitative tools to design and test parts

At the Edgerton Center, I worked with students, teachers, and parents to teach introductory engineering lessons. I loved teaching students how to solder, and I also enjoyed writing and testing new lessons.

- Designed new components for fluid pumping systems using SolidWorks- Created, managed, and maintained system BOMs through prototype production- Checked, revised, and improved designs using DFM principles- Used data science and statistics techniques to interpret and present results of mechanical assembly tests

- Wiring and assembly of exhibit rooms.- Brainstorming, designing, and prototyping new themed puzzles for interactive adventure exhibits.
