Hola! My name is Morgan. I am a Mechanical Engineer who possesses 4 years of experience and is currently working remote for a contracting and consulting company. Because of this, I have had the privilege of traveling across the US to work with a variety of clients including CAT, Whirlpool, and Manitou-our major partner being Caterpillar-on a multitude of projects At Caterpillar, my key duties involve CAD modeling (designing and detailing) for off-highway construction vehicles/mining vehicles as well as new product improvement, continuous product improvement, and conversion projects. Currently I am working on a hydraulic mining shovel project, that relies heavily on developing and integrating hydraulic lines group routing concepts across various machines. My responsibilities include but aren't limited to performing motion and hose shape analysis to verify the quality and the longevity of concept designs, recommending cost-effective and manufacturable design solutions to the greater team, and assisting the team throughout the product workflow stages. While my wheelhouse is modeling, I also have hands-on and data analysis experience working with Whirlpool throughout 2020. While there, I worked on prototyping and implementing engineering concepts to improve the overall ventilation of the product (oven). I was involved with product stage development, quality control, build support, and collecting data. Saying all this, I am a very ambitious engineer who has the interest, the ability, and the willingness to try new things and to expand upon my skills for not only myself but for your company!
