I coordinate meal planning and acquiring produce from local farmer's markets to cook weekly Meatless Mondays meals with a team of student interns and formerly incarcerated women who are transitioning from prison to self-sufficiency. Conducted literature reviews and research focusing on major causes of environmental degradation in industrial supply chains and drafted proposals of ways major multinational corporations can increase sustainable sourcing of key commodities (palm oil, soy, timber and cattle) in Indonesia and Brazil.

• Researched and compiled weekly briefings on current news, policy, and legislation on the topics of banking, housing, transportation and trade• Drafted 14 letters of support for Washington state cities applying for competitive economic transportation grants and sent them to the Secretary of Transportation • Spoke with over 500 Washington state constituents and communicated these constituent concerns and perspectives to senior team members and the Senator

Researched implications of newly released Supreme Court decisions Burwell v. Hobby Lobby and McCullen v. Coakley, wrote Action Alerts about upcoming legislation to encourage affiliates to contact their Senators and Representatives, delivered constituent mail to Senators and Representatives, tracked contact information for over 500 members and affiliate organizations, created a community organizing handbook for clergy in Tennessee to use with their congregations, and improved coalition building strategies within the Reproductive Health, Rights, and Justice community in Washington, D.C.

Collaborated with over 40 progressive Jewish college students to learn and discuss important Social Justice issues such as climate change, global poverty, LGBT rights, and reproductive health and rights with a culminating project of lobbying our respective Senators and Representatives on these issues.

I was elected to serve as the Programming Vice President for the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY), the youth arm of the Union for Reform Judaism.
