In this role I create community links and oppertunities for people with a disability living in Glasgow. I work with both groups and indivuduals to create better outcomes for the people we support. I have been involved in projects that include; literacy, digital inclusion, advocay, political engadement, employibility, disability awareness, health improvement, training and large event management. I maintain strong relationships with both the people who use the support provided by my organisation, stakeholders and parneter organisations to ensure that people are able to find and work with organisations in the city that are best placed to support them to their goals.

Shettleston Glasgow

In this position I ran a sucessful project called Techno Tuesdays where the world of technology was explored in a fun interactive ways that helped the young people learn new skills. I also ran employibility courses in this role helping young people to learn more about the skills needed to succeed in the world of work. these couses included elements of social enterprise, training and work experience. These courses were then suplimented by a weekly job club where support was avalible for those searching and appliying for jobs.

I worked in a support role with adults and young people with physical and learning disabilities in both a community and residentail setting.

I oversaw the day to day running of all operations for the company this included human resocurces, finance and client relations. My role at this small organistion included creating systems and procedures for the owners to enable them to work more efficiently.

I was a live in camp counselor, working with adults with disabilities in upstate New York as part of the Camp America Programme. In this role I developed and ran my own activity group as part of the "Activity Team" as well as assisting with everyday support in the camp.

In this potion i worked for a number of goverment and NHS helplines providing telephone support. I worked on lines that focused on subjects including mental health, sexual health, literacy, and employibility.

I returned to my previous role after a break for study.

I worked in a support position with adults and young people with both physical and learning disabilities. This included supporting people to create and maintain independent lives. Common aspects of this role inlcuded social support, support with fiannces, healthcare medications and all aspects of personal care.
