I’m currently the Technical Proposal Writer for metrology in the Sales Support Team at Mueller Water Products. I’m also a recent graduate of a competitive Master of Arts program in creative writing. Alongside my writing and literature scholarship, I tutored, taught freshmen in First Year Composition sections, and served as vice president of the English Graduate Organization. During my time in graduate school, I successfully fundraised, organized and led medium sized groups of people, presented, and submitted work to literary journals and conferences. My writing has been accepted at two national academic conferences and long listed for a large national short story contest. Before my graduate work, I successfully completed an undergraduate degree with a double major in Psychology and English with an emphasis in creative writing. While there, I participated in a sorority and sat on the curriculum and development subcommittee and the larger Diversity and Inclusion Committee for the Psychology department. I have worked several jobs that were not included in my education and career pathways that have contributed greatly to my work ethic and skills in the work place. I have worked two customer service positions for a total of three years at American Eagle and Little Caesar's. In these positions, I was offered as many leadership opportunities available for under age employees. I also served a family as an over night nanny for a summer. These positions early in my working career taught me responsibility, the importance of people-centered work, compassion in trying interactions, and the importance of showing up every day ready to learn.
