About Morgan Cox

Morgan Cox is a CEO at Westates Companies at J Thomas Homes. They possess expertise in analysis, financial analysis, leadership, management, accounting and 12 more skills. Colleagues describe them as "At the outset I should note that Morgan falls into that group of the select and gifted few, the students a faculty never forgets. Because of his work ethic, his intellectual curiosity and because of his drive to succeed Morgan is easily in the top 1% of all the students I have taught over the last 25 years. I taught Morgan in a Real Estate Investment Class. This course has the reputation of being a tough class with a extensive project. With respect to the foundational material of the course, Morgan was unusually well prepared and consistently did well on exams. In a class of 50, Morgan was the top student. The project however, is where Morgan's abilities were really magnified. Shortly after the start of the semester we received an invite to participate in the Utah Real Estate Challenge sponsored by various professional companies and the University of Utah. "The Utah Real Estate Challenge UREC is a real estate development plan competition for collegiate, university and graduate students throughout the state of Utah. The competition fosters the understanding of real estate development at the college and university level by giving students a chance to organize, direct and present a plan to develop a real estate project to a panel of judges." (http://www.utahrec.org). Morgan and three team members he recruited decided to compete in the UREC with Mr. Steven Stokes as their professional adviser and with me as their academic adviser. Mr. Stokes and I served as sounding boards and critics of the product that Morgan and his team put together. The project required a pre-proposal, from which six finalists were chosen. Each of the finalist teams was awarded $2,000. The finalists were then required to create a full written proposal and orally defend it before a panel of real estate professionals, bankers and other business professionals. The win came with a $20,000 first place prize for the team and more importantly, the project is now underway with Mr. Stokes' firm proceeding with the plans presented by Morgan's team. While all of this was going on, Morgan maintained his 4.0 GPA by keeping up with a full load of courses, married one of his teammates, and continues to work as a commercial real estate analyst. You will note from his resume that Morgan's leadership skills come from the college of experience. He has served his country on active duty as a staff sergeant, the backbone of the military. In addition, he has served his church in leadership positions in the Philippines. Presently he is serving as president of the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business Ambassadors. Morgan is going to be a success, with or without a master's degree, however given his educational excellence, his uniqueness in dedication and focus, I see no reason why Morgan should not be wildly successful. It is thus my pleasure to recommend without reservation, Morgan Cox.", "I served as Executive Vice President of the Huntsman School of Business Ambassadors, directly under Morgan. He is dedicated, motivated, and positive. In a position that requires precise coordination and keen communication, Morgan's natural abilities enabled him to excel the group as a whole and more effectively represent the Huntsman School of Business. Aside from professional qualifications he is an honest man, generous individual, and loyal friend. Where ever he focuses his efforts, good things result.", and "Morgan is a hard-working, dedicated individual with a natural leadership ability and strong people skills. Morgan and I worked for three months together. He has a great ability to teach and to inspire others."
