CDAC is an internship course credit provided through Lousisana Tech’s School of Architecture to provide service-learning opportunities and to supportthe local community. We were tasked with designing a butterfly garden pavillion for one of the busiest intersections of Ruston’s vibrant downtown. With it being a local project we visited the site and took measurements of the brickpad and outer garden. We were able to Zoom with the clients and present them with an intial presentation to showcase the different designs we envisioned for the pavillion. Our second presentation showcased which pavillion they chose with updated ideas as far as trying to incorporate a butterfly into it per the clients request.
