The research, sponsored by the IEEE, involves the study of technology terminology, their various meanings, ambiguity, relationships, and their use across the various technical fields. A major end goal is to help eliminate possible points of confusion in the industry and ultimately help facilitate communication and organizational processes.Work involves scraping various glossaries and compiling all the data into a single web interface (Python, Django). In the future, concept map-like models will be built demonstrating relationships to help with analysis.

Design a comprehensive system to allow construction personnel to assign and track the position of major assets 24/7/365. This will enable asset managers to effectively deploy assets for construction project purposes. The tracking system will also continuously monitor the position of each tagged asset and report (alarm) if it is moved out of its assigned area.

Leveraged Java Lucene to index large amounts of log4j logs sent over a network stream. A search tool and a web front-end was built to make the logs searchable. The goal is to be able to find and extract meaningful information from the logs for analysis.
