After my PhD, I moved to Australia to perform a post-doc. I investigated the roles of thrombin/platelets receptor interactions in procoagulant platelet formation by using human and murine isolated platelets and flow cytometry assays. My PhD and Postdoctoral projects were designed with a translational approach involving human samples management and collaborations with clinicians and nurses.

Liège Area, Belgium

My PhD work has led to the identification of a regulatory axis involved in acquisition of procoagulant properties supporting early metastasis of Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs). During this work, I’ve grown my expertise in molecular and cellular biology techniques including RNA and DNA isolation, PCR and qPCR, primary cell and cell line culture and transfection, immunofluorescence, western blotting and flow cytometry. I modulated gene expression at RNA and protein levels, I developed assays both in vitro and in vivo and I optimized a CTC isolation technique.
