After two and a half years of working with Mtindo as an on the ground leader, I am moving to an external role as a board member and senior advisor. In this new role I will be externally championing the impact of Mtindo and supporting the fundraising initiatives of the organization.

In January of 2020, I joined my co-founder, Susan Namirimu, to launch Mtindo-- a social enterprise in northern Uganda that creates economic opportunities for female youth through education and employment in the fashion industry. Mtindo is a hybrid organization comprised of both a tailoring academy and a tailoring studio. Our two entities work hand in hand to advance employment for women and catalyze the fashion industry in Uganda.On an individual level, Mtindo is committed to empowering women in Uganda to design their own future. On an industry level, we are focused on building up the apparel industry to position Uganda to design its own way forward in fashion.

Launched the fashion brand, Vinn Designs, as a way to beta-test made-to-order manufacturing in fashion. Designed and sold one-of-a-kind dresses to hundreds of women. Witnessed the immense potential for this model to achieve sustainability in the industry while simultaneously running into the challenges of scaling this model in our current fashion system. Today, I am actively researching new technologies and solutions to bring this dream to life once again.
