I am a sophomore studying Finance and Business Analytics in the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Originally, I am from New Jersey and am passionate about business because I want to financially impact people's lives. I come from an immigrant family where I have watched people work hard and struggle to make ends meet without considering saving money for retirement. Because of this, I want to help people understand how to be financially responsible and achieve long-term financial success. Through professional experiences and leading my high school girls' basketball team, I have learned how to think critically, be versatile, and a leader which I can transfer into my future professional life. As a new associate at multiple restaurants over time, I was able to navigate these new environments quickly and became an independent contributor. Soon after, I was given the responsibility of opening a restaurant and handling early morning business as the lead employee in charge. On the basketball court, I exemplified leadership by setting the tone for the team through behaviors like fostering team cohesion and spirit, ultimately driving us to maximal performance. This leadership was acknowledged with statewide awards, resulting in my team making school history with an undefeated conference record. In the future, I aim to use my skills to advance the potential around me, and am excited to gain opportunities to network with new people while also learning from others.
