I have been a nanny to a family with two sets of twins (currently ages 4:girls and 6:boys) since the older set was turning one years old. Around that time, the parents discovered one of their twin boys had developmental delays. The family's needs quickly shifted and I became a much Iarger component in their lives. I attended all of the OT appointments so I would be able to work on specific tasks with him at home, was present when other specialized services visited the home and became skilled with Greenspan’s Floortime. I have attended most of their family vacations, have spent nights with the children when the parents are out-of-town, taken children to doctors appointments and completed light housekeeping and cooking for the children.

• Assisted with communication and outreach efforts for various CMIH programs, including updating the website, writing monthly newsletters for Every Woman Southeast, participating in a tweet chat for the National Preconception Health and Health Care (PCHHC) and writing a blog for the UNC Jordan Institute• Conducted a landscape analysis for a Robert Wood Johnson grant application focused on child welfare, for CMIH and UNC School of Social Work • Administered an evaluation of a perinatal tobacco quality improvement statewide initiative• Assisted with a perinatal incarceration literature review for the NC Perinatal Incarceration Strategic Health Working Group • Participated in CMIH’s Preconception Collaborative Improvement and Innovation Network on Infant Mortality (IM CoIIN) Year One Meeting as a consumer • Participated as a member of the NC Perinatal Strategic Plan Committee by transferring the Environmental Scan from Google Documents to Survey Monkey and developed a layout for each of the 12 points of the Perinatal Strategic Plan (Action Steps, Goals and Process Measures)

• Led structured skill-building activities using the evidence-based Nurturing Program curriculum with children whose parents were court mandated to attend parenting classes due to negative interaction with the Department of Social Services• Co-facilitated small group and individual discussions incorporating art therapy to help foster adolescent self-esteem, self-awareness, managing anger and stress, creativity, problem solving, peer pressure and self-expression• Assessed how the children were progressing mentally and emotionally after each session and participated in supervision with the Program Director to evaluate that progress

• Conducted psychosocial and needs based assessments with patients prior to their appointments with healthcare providers• Completed EPIC training; utilized EPIC for all patient documentation and coordination of follow up services• Assessed how social welfare and economic policies impacted the delivery of and access to social services
