I'm an experienced scientific programmer and machine learning engineer with additional work history in application programming. I bring extensive expertise with variational and generative models, numerical modeling and optimization, and statistical analysis.Some specific methods that I've applied to problems in physics and engineering include variational autoencoders (including recurrent extensions), transformers, and Bayesian filtering algorithms (e.g. Kalman and particle filters).I've also had quite a few opportunities to sharpen my soft skills through various outreach & teaching or tutoring positions, and consider communication an important part of my career.
