In this position, I provide information and assistance to prospective and admitted students in order to help these individuals achieve aspired educational outcomes. I also facilitate the application process for applicants of the program by the way of one on one phone calls, classroom tours, and responsive email communication. My recruiting efforts are focused on potential students for the MBA@Rice program

In this position I directed the day camp and after school programs at Louisville Elementary School. I created and oversaw activity and field trip scheduling and content and lead 7-10 staff, created their monthly schedules, and worked to improve staff performance. This position required me to keep a positive relationship with the school while adhering to YMCA and Colorado state licensing guidelines.

In this position, I processed school age program and camp registrations. This required me to have an ongoing relationships with customers to provide excellent customer service. I also maintained accuracy in family membership accounts, including personal and payment information as well as billing schedules.

During my work at the YMCA, I was able to enhance my leadership skills while leading a team of 10 swim instructors. As the head swim instructor, I arranged up to seven sets of weekly swim lessons, which served approximately five students per set. To complete this, I compiled the availability for students looking for private lessons through parent contact and scheduled up to 10 swim instructors, matching instructors with student availability and skill needs. I would also occasionally provide free lessons to families that couldn’t afford them. I love seeing these children improve their swimming skills and accomplish their goals. As a life guard, I am certified in CPR, AED, and first aid.

In this position, I maintained responsibility for fundraising with a team of three. I led a committee of 25, responsible for event planning and support. I took the initiative to personally develop a new website for the CU chapter using WiX software. This site is to be launched in Summer 2015. In planning events, I assisted with organizing the 2014 and 2015 annual silent auction banquet dinner. In 2014, the banquet had 150 attendees and raised $7,000 in funds, doubling our goal of $3,500. I also personally organized and managed a 5k on campus in 2013 and 2014. In 2014 this event had 50 attendees and raised $300 in funds. As a member of this organization, I traveled to Quito, Ecuador to assist physicians in providing medical care, seeing over 500 patients in a weeks time.

I oversaw four classes of 20 students, guiding lessons with the aid of a workbook. To further support student learning, I staffed a help room for two hours a week to advise students on questions and concerns. A requirement of this position was to attend a weekly class on teaching skills to further my understanding of the learning process and how students absorb information.
