Profile bio

About Morgan Ford Lewis

It was 1990-something, and I was cast as the nine of hearts in my grade school's production of "Alice in Wonderland". That was the last role I can say I did not give more than 100%, merely for the fact that I was told to do absolutely nothing. Pictures upon request. Since my early years as an awkward pre-teen card in an ambiguous deck, “giving 100%” is the bottom at which I’ve set my scale. I gauge my actionable success looking up from there. My intellectual curiosity and drive to build genuine connections with communities and individual clients has led me on a Candy Land board game-style adventure throughout my career. I’ve worked for an internationally known artist whose rum company was before its time and I’ve been the local face and heart and ears for corporate Internet companies. I’ve had the opportunity to learn and grow though these incredible, real world experiences marked by unique sensory triggers that I can never forget. From the warm, toasty aroma of that month’s molasses delivery to hearing the guttural roars of the resident tiger in zoo at sunset. What I’ve discovered from this menagerie of careers are these truths:- I live to work. I had to look up how to spell “sedentary” because it’s not part of my vocabulary. Thanks, Google. - I love community building and creating a sense of belonging. Communities that make people, clients, partners feel like they’re part of something bigger. It provides a sense of security and understanding that people yearn for and it’s fulfilling for me to provide that. - I’m challenged by “business as usual” and “that’s how it’s always been done” sentiments. I believe continual learning and optimization of processes through research and feedback is the only way a company can continue to grow and be successful. - Lastly, I love research and feedback. I geek out over charts, data and industry insights. I learned working at Yelp, analyzing feedback is important to help a business make pivots based on the rumblings from their customer/client base. According to the art of cartomancy, the nine of hearts is regarded as a sign of success to come in various avenues of one’s life, including their professional career. While I highly doubt I was cast in this role with this mystical forethought, it doesn’t hurt to imagine that this first role has led me to these career opportunities becoming the driven person I am today.
