Held a Microsoft teams session for upcoming engineering students. - answered questions about academic life at Lancaster- Gave tips for first year of university

As the Nuclear Engineering academic representative, I gathered student feedback, relaying this to the engineering department. Through training sessions, and Staff-Student committees, I drove improvements within the engineering department. Overall, the role enabled me to enhance the academic experience at Lancaster for both staff and my peers.

During my summer break from university I had the opportunity to work for Aero Fabrications. My responsibilities included working with the despatch department, ensuring that orders were efficiently packed and shipped to customers around the globe. Additionally, I contributed to the part marking process where I ensured all components were accurately labelled in accordance to company and customer standards. This experience gave me valuable exposure to life within an aerospace company, deepening my understanding of the engineering processes whilst refining my attention to detail and communication skills.

Whilst balancing my A-Level studies, I worked part time as a kitchen assistant in a local cafe. In this role, I applied communication skills by both interacting with customers and colleagues to ensure a smooth experience for all. I excelled in working under time pressure, also aided by my studies which rang alongside the job. Managing tasks effectively, it allowed me to keep up with the fast-paced and often stressful environment. This experience provided me with valuable teamwork skills, something I have since applied whilst being at university.

As a commis chef, I spent over a year assisting the head chef and was responsible for preparing side dishes. This role required collaboration with colleagues, with communication and maintaining high standards whilst under pressure being essential.My two main achievements whilst working here was the restaurant being named by the great food awards club as restaurant of the year. And being put in charge of the starters section for a busy evening service.
