Beginning in the summer of 2023, I was able to join a research lab at the University of Missouri as an undergraduate research assistant. The lab I assist in focuses on using drone and rover imaging of corn fields to monitor crop growth, field conditions, corn yield, as well as corn attributes such as plant height, root lodging, and stand count. The lab also participates in the USDA Genomes to Fields Initiative, studying the affects of Missouri's climate on corn cultivar height, yield, stand count, and other metrics. In this position, I have assisted with field work, drone and rover operation, and data collection. This position has also allowed for me to familiarize myself with various softwares and applications such as Pix4D, RStudio, and QGIS.

During the summer of 2022, I worked part time for Bel Fiore Co. as a farm worker. During this position, I gained hands on experience with floriculture, sustainable agriculture, and floral design. I was in charge of sunflower production during my employment and cultivated ProCut sunflower varieties.

In the summer of 2021, I worked part time as a cashier and stocker at CVS Pharmacy. During my time there, I was responsible for ringing up customers, replenishing merchandise, and keeping the work area and shopping area sanitized. This position allowed for me to improve my time management skills and teamwork by collaborating with other employees and balancing multiple tasks.

I worked seasonally in the summer at Freezing Moo during 2019 and 2020. This position allowed for me to improve my organization skills and customer service. As an ice cream roller, I spent my shifts fulfilling orders, preparing toppings, cleaning dishes, and sanitizing the work and eating area to ensure a positive experience.
