Working with a woman who is a quadriplegic. I was her arms, hands, and legs. Used the Hoyer lift to transfer from bed to shower chair. From shower chair to bed. From bed to her motorized wheelchair. Daily housekeeping. Day to day office work. Dealing with correspondence for Ms. Wheelchair Va. Scheduling of doctors’ appointments. Transporting her to such appointments in a modified-wheelchair accessible van. Trained under a RN, to take care of and dress pressure wound and pressure sores. Aided in the placement of Baclofen Pump refill injections and Portacath flushes, care of blood sugar levels and insulin injections.

Use SOAPware computer system, greet patients and visitors, multi-line phones, check in/out patients, collect paperwork, obtained insurance information and referrals, accept co-pays in various forms, maintained billing notifications, create and maintain patient charts, fax lab/radiology orders and requests to appropriate persons, schedule patients for appointments and EEG/EMG procedures, sort and distribute mail, called in/faxed prescriptions to appropriate pharmacies, compiled medical records to be sent to various entities, and inventory of supplies.
