As the Lead Staffing Coordinator, I serve as the Staffing process subject matter expert. I provide training to all Staffing Coordinators at Mercy Ships and provide support regarding documentation of processes and resources that the Staffing Coordinators will need. Staffing Coordinators support our volunteers from the point they accept their dates of service to when they arrive on the ship. I provide support to them with information regarding the crew role requirements for documentation, if applicants require background checks for service, what requirements are needed for our crew placed by our host nations, and much more. Together, we staff the world's two largest non-governmental hospital ships to help bring healing to the world's forgotten poor.

Send immigration documents to applicants. Establish, cultivate, and maintain ongoing relationships with department heads in order to understand their staffing needs. Work closely with Medical Staffing Manager to understand issues, problem solve, and forecast needs. Maintain current knowledge of Mercy Ships policies and procedures in regard to minimum commitments and requirements for applicants.
