Dr. Morganna Vance recently joined Exelixis as a Senior Medical Director in GU Clinical Development, reporting directly to the VP of Late Phase Development. Previously she worked at Gilead as a Senior Director in the bladder cancer space and played a pivotal role in developing a frontline metastatic bladder cancer trial and supported both a Phase 2 platform trial and a Phase 3 pivotal trial in mUC. Prior to her tenure at Gilead, she worked at Novocure as a Global Medical Director leading both a Phase III RCT and the Phase II KEYNOTE trial in NSCLC. Prior to that experience, she worked at Novartis US Oncology, where she served as a Medical Director on the melanoma cross-functional team, working in both Clinical Development and Medical Affairs capacities. She developed a Ph 2b trial in melanoma brain metastases and supported a pivotal Ph 3 study in metastatic melanoma, in addition to working on commercial, patient-advocate, and translational approaches to oncology business development.Dr. Vance is a board-certified Medical Oncologist & former Assistant Clinical Professor at City of Hope, an internationally recognized Comprehensive Cancer Center. She completed Internal Medicine training & Chief Residency at the University of Florida and Hematology/Oncology fellowship at H Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, where she focused her training on immunotherapy of lung and skin cancers.A Fellow of the American College of Physicians, she has also completed a formal health policy fellowship followed by a 3-year tenure with the ASCO Government Relations Committee. She is also a recipient of the 2018 Melanoma Research Foundation Humanitarian Award, contributes regularly as an invited speaker and mentor to women in pharma, and is a skilled health policy analyst.
