Before SMT was acquired by IHS I was part of a small team responsible for all aspects of a diverse IT environment. Now, post acquisition, I am primarily focused on UNIX systems and supporting our customer facing infrastructure. My duties to date have included, but were not limited to:• Administration of a global network of Solaris & Linux systems running infrastructure, database & web application services.• Maintaining legacy support and administration for a Windows Active directory domain & synchronization with UNIX NIS for single sign on.• Installation, configuration and administration of Microsoft System Center Operation Manager and Microsoft System Center Service Manager to focus on proactive fixes, improve efficiency and time-to-resolution.• Resource planning and capacity management for VM environments and multi-vendor filer systems.• Administration of NetApp and ISILON (EMC) clustered filers with a diverse base of NFS, CIFS & iSCSI clients.• Consultation regarding the optimization of infrastructure to support various O&G application including the Kingdom Suite & Petra.• Project planning and management on a continuing basis to support team assignments and individually directed work.
