Crisis Call Counselor
Current-Offers compassionate and non-judgmental support to individuals in crisis through the national 988 number by actively listening and providing emotional assistance to callers in need. Handles approximately 15 calls per Swing shift on a full-time basis.-Collaborates with law enforcement and Clinical Supervisors to ensure effective responses to emergency situations, coordinating resources and referrals as deemed necessary through 211 and 911.-Utilizes crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate high-stress situations, providing immediate assistance and guidance to individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts and crisis.-Conducts thorough assessments of callers' mental health status, accurately identifying risk factors and implementing appropriate intervention strategies to ensure their safety and those around them.CERTIFICATES Registered Agency Affiliated CounselorCertificate; Essential Skills in Crisis Counseling Certificate; Fundamentals of Crisis Counseling Certificate; Training in Imminent Risk of Suicide Certificate; Chat and Text Crisis Intervention Training Certificate; Counseling on Access to Lethal Means (CALM)
